Neighborhood Market
Neighborhood Market is a mobile application that is currently in the process of being prototyped. As a fellow stay at home mother I dabbled in my fair share of starting small businesses of my own. Countless Etsy stores offering POD items with my designs on them, PNG and SVG files for sale. I bought wholesale women's clothing and jewelry and attempted to make businesses out of both of that stock. I learned how to design nail art and even sold press on nails through Instagram for a short time. Since 2020, more and more small at home businesses have flooded our social media feeds and we've all been wanting to support our friends, family, and neighbors. This application lets you do just that.
Home Page
After the initial loading/logo screen, the application user will be taken to this screen. Here, they can search for a specific item or service, search by category, find small businesses near them, and items that are ready for pickup ASAP.
Small Business Profiles
Accompanied by a profile picture and banner, profile's also get their own star rating system based off of past customer reviews. The circles underneath the number of sales that resemble Instagram highlights will showcase the profile's photo gallery of that item and the option to directly place an order through the tap of the icon.
Underneath that section, the "take me home today" section. Items that the small business needs gone quickly, and are ready to be picked up as soon as the customer pleases.
The final section below will be that of reviews and photos taken by customers.
Item Description and Pickup
This page displays the photo(s) of the item and the description. The price is also displayed where it should not be hard for the user to see. Followed by the profile icon and star rating, the user will see pick up dates and times that are available for the user to check out if they so choose.
